Families

Who said you cannot choose your family? I did! Maybe we're not related by blood, but i have a huge and loving family (or families).

I don't really have much contact to my 'real' family. I have nothing in common with them. Most of them i only see once or twice a year.(and that's good!!) They're not in the truth. The only one who was in the truth was my mom. And she is disfellowshipped for 4 years now. Of course i do speak to her, but not so much lately.

But some families in my congregation kinda adopted me! Especially after my mom moved to Berlin.

First of all there is Marianne, the sister who studied the bible with me, (or helped my mom with the family bible study). For many years she was our only contact to the congregation at all. She is more of a grandma to me than my real grandma.

Then there is Kati with her family. She is a lovely and very caring sister. Her kids just love me and we decided to spend a day together each month. Her mother in law, Elisabeth is one of my favorite sisters. A real good friend. She lives with Kati and her family and always makes jokes that she is Katis third child.. an even her youngest!! (but she's 74 now!) I really love her. (Sometimes i even call her grandma like Kati and the kids!)

Another family of mine is Sara's family. I've been good friends with Sara for a long time now. And when my mom left Sara's mom even said she would adopt me! They are facing a lot of problems right now. Karola, Sara's mom suffers from cancer. And Sara stopped being an unbaptized publisher.

Of course my service group overseer and his family also care for me.

I am really lucky to have such a huge and loving family.
