Childhood memories

Change your Facebook profile picture to a cartoon from your childhood and invite your friends to do the same. Until Monday, December 6, there should be no human faces on Facebook, but an invasion of wonderful childhood memories. This is in support for stopping violence against CHILDREN

This status is "spreading" around Facebook these days. I've seen a similar one last week or so, asking you to change your profile pic to your favorite cartoon when you were a child. I know that I've watched a lot of cartoons when i was little. I even got up at 4am at Saturdays to watch them. But when you ask me what i watched i could not give you an answer..

Luckily a friend made an album and collected some pics of famous cartoons to choose from. And i did know some of them. I even remembered which my favorite one was: Chip'nDale Rescue Ranger. I even made myself that plane and put my dolls in it!

As the status says it should bring back "an invasion of wonderful childhood memories". But to be honest I don't have so many wonderful childhood memories. I barely have childhood memories at all. Most of my childhood wasn't worth remembering and i started to repress the bad ones.

I've discovered a certain talent to repress memories. It's like the bad times never happened. If i try really hard i can remember some situations but that only makes me sad so i try not do that very often.

It's like my memories a behind a blurry curtain. I can only recognize the basic shapes and only if i concentrate i can see at least some details.
